The Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Institute has successfully held a webinar entitled “Community Economic Recovery Through Downstreaming of Coffee and Cocoa”. This webinar was opened by Ir. H. Hendy Siswanto as regent of Jember. This webinar will take place on July 15, 2021, starting at 09.00 WIB online via the zoom platform and with the theme of coffee and cocoa machines.
The speakers directly from the experts included Arismaya Parahita, S.P. (Head of Department
Jember Regency Cooperatives and SMEs), Hendy Firmanto, S.T. MSc. (CCSTP Manager), Edy Suharyanto, S.TP., M.P. (Head of Subsection. Production of Machinery and Downstream Products Puslitkoka). This webinar was moderated by Fakhrusy Zakariyya, SP., MSc. (Researcher Puslitkoka).
This activity was attended by the Director of PT Riset Perkebunan Nusantara, Heads of Offices throughout Indonesia, both Provinces and Regencies, Deans of the Faculties of MBKM Partners, Banking, MCB Malaysia and SICAP Philippines, NGOs, processors, cafe businessmen, as well as coffee and cocoa farmers in Indonesia.
This activity aims to introduce technology and programs to contribute to the development of coffee and cocoa nationally, socialize technological innovations for processing coffee and cocoa on a MSME scale as superior innovations and provide an overview of the potential of downstream coffee and cocoa agribusiness.
It is hoped that in the future, puslitkoka can produce technological innovations and synergize with stakeholders to support the development of Indonesian coffee and cocoa plantations so that through this they can improve the economy of the community and coffee and cocoa farmers throughout Indonesia.
