A virtual meeting between the Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Center and the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) San Francisco related to the planned cooperation in promoting Indonesian coffee with the UC Davis Coffee Center. This virtual meeting was held on May 5, 2021 and was attended by the Head of the Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Center and the team and the Indonesian Consulate General in San Francisco.
The purpose of this virtual meeting is to connect the Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Center with coffee stakeholders in the working area of the Indonesian Consulate General in San Francisco, one of which is the UC Davis Coffee Center. This collaboration is very strategic because the value of Indonesian coffee exports is 235 million US dollars, 1/3 of all Indonesian coffee exports enter through the west coast of the United States which is the working area of the Indonesian Consulate General in San Francisco.
With this cooperation, it is hoped that a mutually beneficial collaboration will occur so that Indonesian coffee is increasingly recognized in the United States. The scope of the cooperation is planned in the field of product promotion and research.
